Designednot by a team of BaW moderators and co-moderators (being BaW an EVO session that ran for ten concutive years), ICT4ELT is an entry level session that does not require prior knowledge of ICT tools to complete the course. Changes Suggested by EVO
First, we should say that it is a great pleasure to have a new session with former BaW co-moderators. The name you have picked up is a great choice because it rolls off the tongue easily and will certainly be very appealing to your target audience. We do need an entry level tech-tools course like the one you laid out in your proposal. However, we have some recommendations that would improve your session.
- Do some work on the session abstract so as to better advertise it. ICT should be spelled out in the first paragraph and BAW mentioned there, too.
- Mention that the moderators of this session have been part of the BaW moderation team for several years, and state that BaW ran for 10 years in a row.
- Create a session logo. (done)
- Expand weekly contents (informing what participants will be doing).
- The sponsor (CALL-IS) should be mentioned.
- Work on weekly goals in a more structured way providing a more descriptive overview of the pedagogical purposes for every week.
- Appoint one or two lead coordinator(s) whose role it would be to ensure that it all happens
- Consider introducing Webheads in Action/Learning2gether and encourage/invite people to join
